Tree & Shrub Healthcare in Franklin, TN

Franklin mixes some of the oldest trees in the region with some of the newest neighborhoods. Downtown along Main Street and the historic district, you have street trees and yard specimens that predate most of us, while out toward Westhaven and Berry Farms the landscapes are young and still establishing. Those two situations need completely different care plans.

Homes and properties in Franklin

Historic Franklin is full of Victorian and early-1900s homes on tight lots where a mature tree failure has nowhere good to fall. Newer areas are dense traditional-neighborhood-design builds with narrow tree lawns, compacted builder soil, and young maples and lacebark elms that were planted too deep.

Trees we work on here

Expect heritage oaks, sugar maples, magnolias, and crepe myrtles in town, with ash, hackberry, and cedar on the outskirts. Preservation matters here: a 150-year-old oak on a historic lot is not replaceable, so we lean hard toward diagnosis, soil work, and structural pruning before anyone talks about removal.

What the weather does to Franklin trees

The Harpeth River bottoms flood, and saturated root zones plus spring wind is the classic failure combination. Summer heat reflecting off downtown pavement also stresses street trees more than people expect.
